continent – providing us with access to
new opportunities, both in the South
African market and across Africa.
The beneficiaries of Impho Consortium
include the Fort Hare Foundation, a Trust
representing the SA Council of Churches
and the Leadership Foundation Trust.
In a separate empowerment transaction,
The Antalis South Africa Employees
Empowerment Trust acquired a 5.1%
share in Antalis South Africa. For these
employee shareholders, the benefit of
this empowerment deal is the fact that
they will share in the financial benefits of
being a part of the Antalis international
operation, which is the largest paper
merchant group in Europe.
Empowerdex (Pty) Ltd certified Antalis
South Africa with a B rating which
represents a Level 7 contributor.

on Enterprise and Socio-Economic
Development and continuing with our

In September 2007, the Impho Consortium acquired a
20% stake in Antalis South Africa, empowering us with
the support of a significant Broad Based Black Economic
Empowerment partner. |
