TheFSC(Forest Stewardship Council) is a system of forest certification and product labeling.
It identifies wood and wood based products from well-managed forests. It is applicable to suppliers

The PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) provides a framework for the development of , and mutual recognition of national or sub-national forest certification schemes that have been developed locally according to internationally recognised requirements of sustainable forest managements. IS09001 - 14001 - This is an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving a company's environmental performance. It is the environmental management standard applikcable to any organisation wishing to introduce or improve an existing system. It addresses legal compliance, deals with potential liabilites and exploits evironmental opportunities.

ECF ( Elemental Chlorine Free) The pulp is bleached without the use of chlorine gas. However some chlorine dioxide is used, plus other non chlorine based compounds such as oxygen.
TCF (Totally Chlorine free) The pulp is pleached without the use of chlrine chemicals and is reserved for the use of virgin fibres.
