The trend is visible throughout the entire OECD area, where measurements have been carried out every three years since 2000 through the so-called PISA-survey, Programme for International Student Assessment.
When Arctic Paper recognises this year's World Book & Copyright Day, the focus is on the value of reading comprehension and the significance of the printed word in education.

Early in March 2011, Antalis South Africa, in conjunction with Arjowiggins, nationally launched the new Arjowiggins piece aptly named ‘The Power of Five5’; designed byPaul Hinch of Grid Worldwide Branding and Design and printed by Hansa Print Cape Town. Each brochure made use of one of the five papers being showcased namely: Skin Curious Collection, Rives Dot and Tradition, Conqueror Bamboo, and Curious Translucents.
The star attraction at the launch of Masuga, the sweet paper from Sappi, distributed exclusively by Antalis South Africa was well known, successful television cook, published author and Woolworth’s ambassador Justin Bonello.
The mouth-watering food and impressive event saw Justin give a cooking demonstration that expressed Masuga's branding as 'Sappi's sweet paper' whilst highlighting the analogies between food preparation and paper production with perfect results determined by the best ingredients and a foolproof 'cooking method.
Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd hosted the 12th prestigious Art of Design 2010 biannual Awards event at the Country Club Johannesburg on 19 August 2010hosting an impressive exhibition with 750 design pieces.
The Art of Design competition not only rewards Graphic Designers for originality and design excellence with a particular focus on the creative use of paper, but aims to inspire thinking, big ideas, paper usage and beautiful presentation. It is Antalis’ way in which we support growth of the South African Graphic Design industry; Antalis’ has enthusiastically hosted this competition for an uninterrupted 24 years.
A panel of 9 judges were selected from the Graphic Design industry. Lorraine Du Plessis from Studio 5 was the head judge.
Judges based their decisions on a number of design criteria these included, whether or not the design solved a problem and added value, its level of creativity, innovation or originality and level of impact ‘was there magic. Read More

retained Business Superbrands status for 2010 – great news!
The 2010 Superbrands annual. For 2010,
Conqueror case study would appear alongside
the strongest B2B and B2C brands in the UK.
Each year, this recognition is granted to outstanding
brands worldwide, such as FedEx or CNN.
The Superbrands February issue will become
the year’s definitive publication, profiling 2010’s
Business Superbrands and Consumer Superbrands
in a single volume.
Superbrands digital. The new, online platform will
bring the Superbrands annual to life using video,

Conqueror Texture Laid has been chosen to be the paper
for the stationnery of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Thanks to the Swedish team the full kit of envelopes in C6,
C5 and C4 and letterhead in A4 have been preprinted on
Conqueror Laid. Two different types of printing techniques
are used: offset litho and gold foiled embossing.
