Antalis South Africa (Pty) Ltd going the distance with Budd Printers
“Hailing from a family of high achievers it was no wonder that Quintus Budd, owner and founder of Budd Printers, re-established the family business in 1999 and continues to make an outstanding success of it. The latest installation we did with them is no exception.” said Mel Ellis, National Sales Manager for Antalis.
“The Kodak Trendsetter 800 Platesetter will surely leverage this local hero to iconic status! In partnership with Budd Printers we chose to install this equipment because of its ability to delivery outstanding image quality, stability and maximum efficiency with advanced automation and unmatched productivity.”
Based in Bloemfontein, Budd Printers provides a wide variety of commercial print jobs for local customers and those as far afield as Cape Town and Johannesburg. Run by Quintus, brother of Zola Budd the former Olympic track and field competitor and former world-record holder in women’s long distance running, his wife Ria Budd and their increasing staff compliment the business was originally established in the 1930’s.
Antalis has been working with the team for more than 6 years and relishes the company’s pursuit of knowledge not to mention a commitment to achieving and excelling on their exemplary standards. “Quintus is such a character and is often seen around the shop with his pet parrot perched on his shoulder, like Bloemfontein’s version of ‘Long John Silver’! continued Ellis.
“I am very impressed with the hallmark features of good value, reliability, flexibility and outstanding quality that the Kodak Trendsetter 800 is producing. The advanced automation and unmatched productivity has made a significant impact in the short time since we installed the equipment.” shared Quintus Budd.
“We have an excellent working relationship with Antalis, who have assisted with all the installations since we took over the family business. I feel confident in their knowledge and support, knowing that their passion and knowledge of the industry can only benefit our on-going success” said Budd.
To meet the company’s exacting requirements we felt that a Kodak Computer-to-Plate system, which are modular and have a wide choice of upgrade options, would be best suited. Thankfully the installation process was quick, seamless and easy to perform, helped as usual by excellent customer support and a budding relationship with our valued client. concluded Ellis.
